If you’ve been following this blog, chances are you’re already aware that I’m pretty big on MMOs. What few people know is that I’ve actually started playing them nine years ago. Asheron’s Call was released in November 1999 and was one of the first massively multiplayer online games to feature a fully three-dimensional environment, at the time rivaled only by EverQuest.
After it’s initial recall, LittleBigPlanet was finally released in stores last week and if you’ve been following this blog, you knew damn well I was going to pick it up.
I’ve spent a few hours in the game so far and can say without a doubt that it’s a great piece of software and a must have for anyone who enjoys the genre. That’s not to say it completely lived up to the hype.
